Diaper changes are now a screeching, tumbling event. Thankfully Max came into his own at a much earlier age than Mya so I have vast experience with pinning babies with one arm while changing their diaper with another.
Mya has also become quite the explorer. She crawls alllll over the house and will chase you from room to room, pulling up on your legs and squacking at you to pick her up. This morning she crawled in the shower with me....twice. Her biggest feat is climbing the stairs. Don't turn your back on her for a second. She will be sitting calmly, playing with toys and you think you can slip in a quick potty break of switch over the laundry in the next room. Fool! She doesn't even glance at your departure yet as soon as you exit...bam!....she's off to the stairs. Smack, smack, smack go her hands as she charges up them. If you spot her from behind she makes it the whole way up.
Although this new age brings with it its challenges, I'm very proud of the able, independent girl that she's becoming.
Here is photographic evidence of the girl that Mya is becoming....
See Mya sweetly enjoying her brother's car.

Here is the new take-no-prisoners Mya as demonstrated by her body language. Go, Mya, go!
